New Project 22 - Mossberg 151M(a)

Picked up a bunch of parts for a new project. Gonna try to fill in the blanks and get it back as complete as I can. I know I'm missing the stock (and associated hardware) and the trigger, spring and pin. Not sure what else is missing. I'm not knowledgeable on these yet, so let me know if you see additional pieces that are missing or other issues.

If all does not go well, I figure the sights are worth more than I paid for the lot.

I just worked on a westernfield m855 this weekend for a guy and the parts you have here in these pictures look exactly the same. The westernfields are rebadged mossbergs.

Last night, I bought a 151K stock and a trigger set on eBay. I also just bought a magazine tube tension spring & screw from Numrich. I know the K stock isn't correct, but it'll get me going until I can HOPEFULLY find am M stock, complete with the forearm and swivels.

All of the parts were/are very dirty and covered/caked with hardened powder residue and carbon. Someone was too liberal with the oil in the past and never cleaned it. I have a sticky firing pin and I'm pretty sure that if I tried to fire the gun without breaking it down, I'd have slam fire or full auto issues. I'm currently in the process of disassembling the bolt, but I bent two punches last night trying drive out the pins so I can get to the firing pin. Gonna swing by the hardware store to look for some nails, as suggested in this pic I found on RFC.

Ok, so I've tried and tried to get that pin out in order to get at the firing pin. No luck so far. En lieu of that, I have been soaking the bolt in Ballistol and blowing it out with compressed air. It seems that the firing pin is starting to loosen up. So, I'll probably roll with it like this unless it has issues at the range.

Some of the parts will be showing up over the next few days.

Hmm...didn't think if that. Probably because I don't own one. I'll have to do some research on which ones to buy.
