How did you come to this conclusion?

Recognition of non-resident permits has changed by one or two states in over ten years. "more and more" is misleading at best.

It is virtually impossible to drive across any state without passing through a school zone because the zones are so damned big - 3000 feet from the school property line in all directions. It is almost impossible to traverse a city as well - the zones are overlapping in a lot of cases. Anyone who shoots guns needs to get a carry permit to avoid violating this ridiculous act.

Correction - I think it is 1000 feet in any direction from the property line. Over 300 yards.
