Saw a couple fork heads, couple does, and this mama and her little ones.

The wind this afternoon was howling, and I had to chase feed sacks all over the field after topping off the protein feeder.
I was working in my barn this evening and discovered I’m not cut out for cold weather, and it’s only 48 right now. I’ve never hunted in snow and was planning to stay until Monday or Tuesday to have the experience, but I may rethink that plan.

You really need to hunt in snow. Once you punch one with a bullet in snow, you’ll understand how these crime scenes on Tv can come up with so much crime evidence.

Didn't make it out this morning. First time in something like 40 years I've missed opening day of MZ season. Was unloading the truck and stepped on a walnut. Rolled the ankle and pulled a muscle or somethin in the hip. Ankle didn't sprain, but the muscle in the hip sure hurts. Decided to stay home today on a heat pad and bio-freeze.
