If you're talking about the park rangers age, they were two older gentleman. They also said they found a deer that had died that was 11.

Top jaw bone is a jaw bone age by a biologist at 8.5+ year old. I would agree with that, as it was a buck that I had been watching 4 years. (He wasn't a pup when I first started watching him) He was built like a short legged horse. Body of a shetland pony, sagged back, front shoulders squared and wide, rump square and wide.
