Generally, the remove before flight stuff is red, and the blue leaves me mystified... we had a retirement ceremony for a lady in my wing, her husband was there, and for one of the gifts from the unit, the other girls gave her a red sleep shirt with "remove before flight" across front.
You are correct with the red, which I also have, but these are from my wife’s squadron and are the ones they give out to guests, I guess I am just a guest :).

Then you can look forward to her getting a "remove before flight" red sleep shirt at her retirement. I guess they give you "guests" blue ones in case you run out to the flight line and tie one to wheel nuts (but more likely to prevent your being accused of theft which is strictly limited to DOD employees).

Nursing a separated shoulder until I see an ortho in a few days - working from home and it takes attire with real pockets to do a pocket dump, but some comments made earlier in the thread about military deployment bibles got me scrambling to find mine

- the original EDC, in pristine condition (indicating it didn’t get any use 😔)
- no matter - I’m somewhat wiser now and more appreciative of these things

Mainly from low crawling, obstacle courses and FTXs and it in a baggie to protect against rain and mud, sorta.

Taking an educated guess that mine resided full time in a big barrel duffel back at our re-supply HQ along with all the other nonessentials most of us took with us- enough bdu's and field jackets- even cold weather boots - -2 is one and one is none attitude on everything

Not like you're not saddled with dragging a lot of crap everywhere, where they keep promising to lighten combat loads, but which have gotten nothing but heavier for all of US history from beginning to now....wouldn't be suprised now if individual weapons ditched for more electronics and battery packs. I didn't carry that Bible in a leg pocket most everywhere as a good luck charm, but more a teddy bear reminding me of more important things such as God, country and home and where things were better, and so when thoroughly miserable, could reach down and pat it and reconnect with all that was left behind.
But, I feel that way about a lot of things including my above old Blackhawk .45, comfort is where you find it.
