Dave, if you can't find a longer dip stick, just cut the tube off a little shorter. Easy fix.

You kid, but on aircraft engines, the oil dipstick goes into a removable plastic tube that extends down to the crankcase. Those tubes are available in different lengths (as are the dipsticks), so using a shorter tube is a legit possibility.Dave, if you can't find a longer dip stick, just cut the tube off a little shorter.
