Well that sure doesn't surprise me! I've bought at just about every gun store in Tulsa and have experienced "attitude" at EVERY one at one time or another . Nature of the beast I think.

It would possibly be tolerable with the low prices if they had any stock. Empty cases and shelves. If you want a brick and mortar store, try Big Boys Guns & Ammo, or Sooner State Pawn. Both have a good selection, prices, and service.

Would be curious as to where the Tulsa guys like to shop. Best combo of selection and price. I'm not really concerned with "attitude" so much.

Actually, Dong's is where I'd been shopping. The guys there are actually pretty nice (the one's I've dealt with) and help as best they can. Sports World seems to have some with attitude, although I think at any of these places you'll find one or two employees who are like that.

Bought my XD from them. Bought the Smith online however.

Mustang Pawn and Gun

King's Pawn

C&J sporting goods (Bethany)

Pawn shop (can't remember name) on MacArthur just north of Northwest Expressway, east side.

Stay away from Gunworld. You have been warned--search it for more info if you have time to waste.

Others listed above are fine. Attitude at Outdoor America seems to have improved. Stock is down, but they have the occasional good deal. The front part of the store has a bunch of 50% off stuff. For example I counted 9 sets of .25 ACP reloading dies at about 30 bucks. There are some other more realistic dies for similar prices. They have a ton (literally) of low priced turkey decoys. Their "cop shop" appears to be pretty well stocked.

I have a feeling they will close some time in 2013, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, "Outdoor America" is the place to go if you already have a gun picked out, and you can just walk right in, buy it, then leave.
Otherwise, their bad attitudes and general laziness will tick you off.

I respectfully disagree kind sir. Its the only place to go if you have the gun picked out, have called 3 times before someone answered, waited 10 minutes for them to make sure its in stock, can walk in, lay the cash on the counter in front of the gun you want, stand and wait for 30 minutes for the guy 5 ft away to finish his magazine, get off his stool, and then ask if you want to buy something. This exact scenario took my lunch hour. 50 minutes from the time we walked in the door, walked straight to what we wanted, and were able to walk out, might have even been longer, cuz I think I was late coming back from lunch.

Ask for Dave. He's knowledgable and courteous. Works M-W-F last I heard. Again, the overall attitude has improved. I do miss Fred, and I don't think the store will last long.

There are some hidden gems in the large 50% off section. It has the remains of archery, black powder, reloading, and other Fred projects that died when the one knowledgable/interested peson in a particular department left.

I've shopped/browsed in that store for many a year and have never once felt comfortable.

Same here. I've spent some money there as well. Bought a couple of guns, and a ton of clothing from the little clothing corner, but I never once felt comfortable, or that my business was appreciated, but I kept going back because I didn't know where else to go. Comfortable, or not comfortable actually is a great way to describe how I always felt in there.
