It ALL boils down to common sense and respect for Law Enforcement Officers, If you want to blame anyone for the actions like these, blame Barrack Hussain Obama for setting race relations back 50 years and putting most blacks against LE in this nation, We are seeing what those seeds have grown. Officers on edge Citizens yelling in their faces in some cities liberal superiors ordering them to stand down while neighborhoods are burned to the ground. Did this officer over force the old man? Yeah a little But did the old man NOT give that officer the respect the badge deserves? Damn right he did. Like the story I read today of the man who killed his entire family after expressing terror over a Trump win. The DEMS created this. And they need to be held accountable for it.
LITTLE BIT ?
So he spent days in the hospital, appears to have severe damage to his nex. Vertebra , was knocked un consciousness because he touched an officer and cussed him?

What sort of value system is that? Also with a system in place to address ethnic challenges funded by the taxpayers this idiot cop was effectively protecting the public with his actions?
My parents raised me with core values that far outreach those displayed in this particular set you are referring to. God HelpUs 😢😢😢🙄🙄🙄😂😂😂😂😂

Go poke a cop in the chest with your finger and see what happens. I have little sympathy for folks who are not smart enough to know the law , as I said earlier I've been critical of the police and have done so here. But only someone with an axe to grind who has tunnel vision and hates the police is gonna have the perspective only the cop was wrong in this incident. Objectivity must work both ways, like I said earlier the cop might have over reacted given the circumstances, but the old man had a responsibility to shut up and not lay hands on a police officer.

A further aside if he has dementia then he probably shouldn't be driving. At this point I bet the cop doesn't get fired and he shouldn't be. Disciplined for for not using good judgement but the law clearly was broken by the old man.
Bet Your Parents would be soooo proud of you and the words you used to rationalize what that idiot cop did to an old man! Did they teach you respect?

I don't think the chip comes from inexperience. It comes from being accustomed to violence, AND being encouraged by the system to utilize that experience in violence to solve problems which require MORE experience in just being a member of society as a Civilian. They still have the mind-set, emotional maturity, and self-esteem of soldiers.
Do we know this idiot cop was in the military?

He committed battery against the cop.

In Oklahoma, battery is defined as the unlawful and intentional use of force or violence against another person without their consent:

  • Definition
Oklahoma Statutes Title 21 §21-642 defines battery as "any willful and unlawful use of force or violence upon the person of another".
  • Examples
Battery can include any unwanted physical contact, such as a push, shove, slap, punch, or use of a foreign object.

Ok and I have ocean front property in Oologah! Common sense should never be used when dealing with the public!

I watched the video. My opinion? 1. This is America, learn English. 2. Don't touch a cop. I can't blame the cop here. Fafo.
How many languages do you speak? And how many of them did you learn as an adult? Did you know that English is up there in the top of the most difficult to learn languages? And not everyone learns languages easily. I grew up in neighborhoods where Spanish was the predominant language. Started formally learning it in 7th grade. And I'm still miserable at it. For most people, learning to speak a language is only easy when they're infants. He did OK until he got upset. Then lost most of his English. Just like most everyone who didn't learn a 2nd language as a young kid.

Yeah, telling the cop to shut up and the finger pop were red flags. And not the wisest thing I have ever seen someone do to a cop. I can blame the cop for going nuclear here. Cuffing him would have been adequate.

I've never disagreed from word one , I've said multiple times that the cop probably could have used better judgement. But I am not gonna be the cop lynch mob on this one either . Objectivity is being able to look at the facts here. No way to slice it the old man made every bad move and helped escalate things to places it didn't have to go though.

The world has too many feels now , and the fact is this is a lesson everyone here should have learned at 6 years old. Don't touch a cop and be polite while you're at it and no cops aren't more violent now than they were when I was kid.

When I was growing up attitude adjustments were given more frequently than now and with far less public scrutiny . Its not endorsement of right or wrong, it just is what it is.
I’m glad you said that because that idiot cop needs AN ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT. My generation were taught to never treat an old man that way. In fact my dad would have surely given me an attitude adjustment if as a cop I’d been filmed doing that to the old man.
Respect taught at my home growing up comes in many forms.
