I agree with that but don't see how it applies here. Dealing with a language barrier and also it appears no arrest instructions were given. Just straight to the face slam. Did you watch the attorney that reviewed video that was posted?
It doesn’t I was responding to the idea of trusting the cop as you implied, and doing as instructed by the cop

I was taught to respect police and to only state your defense once on the side of the road, if the officer disagrees, take your ticket and fight it in court.

This is not the time or place to keep arguing.

However the officer did use excessive force on this one. Completely avoidable. Both of them should be ashamed of their actions.

Bottom line, all this debate is going to be resolved at a mediation following a widely publicized law suit either in Oklahoma County District Court or the Western District of Oklahoma Federal Court. The proper plaintiff lawyer will have the jury hating cops by the time he is done with depositions and expert testimony. The City will pay dearly to get this case dismissed with prejudice. If the injured citizen dies from his injuries (God forbid), then the price of this event goes off the charts. All the jury will remember from all of the testimony is the shock of seeing this small gentleman suddenly slammed into the ground and the after pictures from his hospital stay. JME.
