I agree with challenging the knock, My niece just last week had a person knock a couple times and did not answer the door, seen him leave and then went to the back room and saw someone walk by her window and try to open the back door. She ran to the bathroom and called 911. Police did a good search but and found nothing.

make darn sure anyone challenging front door knocks use a voice that means business. otherwise it'd be better to install a video camera trained on front door. setting off a loud alarm horn would do it ... bad folks are not sticking around, too many other easy targets!

there's a sticker near my front door that reads:

Nothing inside is worth your Life!

Two arrests have been made in the murders of four women at Fairmont Terrace Apartments last month, police announced Wednesday afternoon.

Brothers, James Stanford Poore, 32, and Cedric Dwayne Poore, 39, were arrested and booked on four complaints each of first degree murder, Chief Chuck Jordan said.

On Monday, January 7, 2013, twin sisters Rebeika Powell and Kayetie Powell-Melchor, 23; Misty Nunley, 33, and Julie Jackson, 55 were found shot in the head, with their hands tied behind their backs inside a south Tulsa apartment, police say. A 3-year-old boy was also found inside the apartment, unharmed.

According to arrest reports, witnesses told investigators that the brothers left an apartment in the same building at Fairmont Terrace Apartments, near 61st and Peoria, saying they were going to pull a "lick" at the victims' apartment.

Witnesses told police the brothers returned about 20 minutes later with a bag full of drugs, cash, and jewelry. According to the report, James Poore told the witnesses that he shot one of the victims because she could identify him and that Cedric shot the other three. The witnesses told investigators the brothers split the money and that Cedric Poore took the jewelry to pawn.

Door kicked in at 12 noon today in the Meadow Ridge addition of 19th and Eastern in Moore. Woman was home, pulled the trigger on two men, who fled. No shots were actually fired to my knowledge, gun jammed or wasnt chambered. Apparently PD called off the chase once speeds reached 80+ and the perps are still at large.

No link, but verified with Moore PD. I could request a copy of the crime report under the FOIA. Suspects are two black males in a dark purple jeep cherokee.
