Old Cemetery?

Check with the Indian nation there. There is one on one of my places that is a Indian Cemetery, looks a lot like it.

There's not really any Indian anything or Indian nation up here. The NW corner of the state isn't like the other 3/4ths of the state as far as that goes. Tonkawa, Poncas, and Otoes to the east along I35, and Cheyenne/Arapahoe to the south along I40. There's no tribal land or trust land anywhere around here either. Closest tribal land is anywhere you'd find a casino. Watonga or Canton is probably the closest.

I would check the county or online somewhere just to see who owns the land. That may lead you to some information.

There is probably a local historian who knows all about it.

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while. These gates and fencing are at the northeast corner of my house place and border the county road, and I had never taken time to wander around in there until a couple weeks ago. There doesn’t appear to be anything there, but to me, it looks like a fenced off area for an old graveyard.
I’m hesitant to contact anyone with the county and really don’t know who would know anything anyway.
This gate faces the county road, and the other faces north into the neighbor‘s pasture.

There is an old Indian Cemetery in the middle of a small shopping center parking lot, in Sand Springs! I have heard that some of these graves had houses/covers over them at one time? This cemetery is fenced, maintained well, and shown due respect!
