Eagles Nest was the revolving place at founders tower.

Der Dutchman….. when I was a kid that was THE place to go for special family occasions.

Charcoal Oven was cool.

Casa Bonita was a kids dream destination in the early 80s.

Wish Goldie’s burger and pickle bar would come back!
Chandelles was the first name.

When I installed the fire alarm system in the tower a few years ago during it's rennovation, I actually got to turn on the switch that rotates the restaurant top. They were in the process of trying to get another restaurant or bar to come in. The tower, behind the elevators anyway, has a lot of spray on asbestos. A lot has been reclamated but the interior stuff hasn't been touched.

It is now called the 405 Tower

This is entertaining, reading the FANTASIES of old farts like me, that used to fantasize about pretty girls, in skimpy outfits, and now fantasize about FOOD! I suspect most are over weight like me?
Nah, we still fantasize about hot girls in skimpy costumes, but now they are serving our food.

How about Monterrey House Mexican food on 39th
Magic pan
Does anyone know the name of the little taco place that was hit by the tornado on May Ave and 36th in 1970-71?
And also the Mexican place on s side of 39th near Ann’s Chicken Fry it was a little whole in the wall but I think they actually produced and sold as a manufacturer to grocery stores the Orbit tortilla brand
It was the Hausenda Mexican restaurant. It was a Chinese place before that.
