Forget one to the, just split him 'tween the eyes and save the rest of the world the trouble of dealing with an idiot. I would not put 4 ohm speakers on that stereo, it will fry, the amp won't be able to handle the load. 8-ohm is just fine as has been said. As for the power handling, Don't get too caught up in it. Just get some cheapos at the pawn shop that are about the same size as the ones that came with it. Those combos typicall put out 50-75 watts RMS. Stick with that and you will be fine. What you absolutely do not want to do is hook up speakers rated at 125+ watt. It will end up smoking the amp. You are better off slightly overdriving the speakers rather than underdriving them, that loads the amp, creates more heat which will kill it. If you have too much power, you can always turn it down (don't overdrive them to the point of popping or distortion).

Otherwise, you could probably go out and buy a new stereo at a pawn shop for what you are going to pay for just the speakers.
