Looking for an online/by mail High School Diploma program here in OK.

Found one located in Texas, where you call to enroll, pay $110 for books/tests to be mailed to you. Also have to take Scantron tests online to get an accredited High School diploma.

Anyone know of something like this in OK? Where all tests are done online as opposed to going to a school location to take them?

Also have to take Scantron tests online to get an accredited High School diploma.

All I have to add is this: Be very careful to examine statements like this.

"Accredited" by what entity? Make sure you aren't just paying for a worthless diploma that won't be recognized or accepted by anyone.

Good luck and good on 'ya.

Well, here's the thing. My daughter was on medical homebound for 2 yrs in Jr High. The teachers that came to tutor her were very generous with her grading. We switched her to Ok Virtual Academy online HS for the next 2 yrs, but it proved to be too difficult, and we let her drop out.

Bad parenting choice, but its done, and can't change all the circumstances that lead to that decision. I did most of her work in the online school. Jr year proved to be too much for me to continue trying to get her through to graduate, because she wasn't able to pass the state math test that is required. She doesn't do well in classroom testing.

SO.....she wants to be able to say she obtained a HS diploma, that can at least be listed on a job application.

A friend of the family that moved to Texas used a school down there to get her's with their program, and all testing is completed at home or online. Accredited by Texas board of education...for what that's worth.

Just hoping someone might know of a specific OK resource the same way.

I have plenty of regrets that led up to this, now just want to help get her a diploma.

Don't know what your daughter's long-term plans are, but if it includes higher education here is another option: enroll in your local school district's GED/Adult Ed program and pass the GED test. With a GED test and completion of the ACT Test (no minimum score) she will be able to enroll in a juco/community college. After earning 30 hours of college credit her high school will give her a high school diploma + she will be on her way toward a college degree - if that's what she is interested in.

My older brother got a GED when he joined the Navy back in the old days, then went on to join the Air Force after his four year hitch. Stayed in until retirement and earned Associate, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees along the way. During his first hitch in the Air Force he was stationed near Marysville, CA (I think it was Beale Air Force Base) and went to night school @ Marysville HS in order to get a real high school diploma because it meant a lot to him.

Good Luck!
