Well, after today, the wife and I are done with working the North Texas region for our company. That is, unless they find something else that needs to be redone. We pretty much got it all done yesterday, but we had really dark images when surveying the road in a state park near Bonham, TX and the last two miles of a record in Sulphur Springs, TX was wet road, so we went back to both of those this morning and redid them.

While out doing that, we were asked by the company to go do some other "records" near Childress and up in the Texas Panhandle that needed to be worked. So, it looks like we may have another few days of work in store for us. That suits us as it helps the company and gets us a few more days of pay.

Barring any other redo's in North Texas, we should be home sometime next week.

Interesting day. We are in DC, and spent the day in the Museum of the Bible. Extremely well done, it would be easy to spend a couple of days just reading the explanations of what you are looking at. I’ve been to DC many times, but this was a new one for me, and it is now among the places I will recommend when in DC.

We have been going to Lake Tanneycomo in Missouri every year in the fall for 34 years.
It’s a week of relaxing and trout fishing. The lakeside resort we stay at is only a mile or so from Branson. Other than dining and shopping there we have never been to one of the shows. No desire to actually. We aren’t into hillbilly hoe down, country western music and so on which seems to be the theme of most.
While eating lunch yesterday at a restaurant, we saw an ad for an illusionist show, so booked our first show to see Rick Thomas. Had an act in Vegas for years before being asked to headline in the Andy Williams theater after Andy passed away.
I will say it was an impressive show with some illusions that were incredible.
Highly recommended for all ages.
I almost didn’t hit the like button because of your hillbilly hoe down statement, but I chose to overlook it because of the trout fishing.

We are staying at the Hyatt Place National Mall, just a couple of blocks from the Air & Space Museum and found this crime scene walking back from dinner…..

I just got back from the ranch after getting it all setup for my brother, his wife and two sons and a grandson to enjoy.....the grandson is 10 and has been target shooting since age 7....he really wants to bag his first deer and now he'll get the chance as this is youth rifle weekend. Wish him luck....his parents have not let him hunt up till now because of his age, but the time has finally come.....

Hope he gets one. Hopefully we’ll see some pics soon.

Dang, I'm not a professional bike thief, but I'd think you could saw through that lock with a nail file faster than removing all those components. It looks like they even took the cables.

Ugh I am pooped. A co-worker had a family emergency and I have covered her shifts and mine for the last week or so ... I think the last day off I had was 13 or 14 days ago. Check is gonna be nice but damn I'm looking forward to Tuesday (my day off on the schedule). I sure hope she comes back by then.

Well, I think I can say that it is not a surprise that you stepped up to the plate. Kudos to you.
