Well, I told y’all a few weeks ago that my youngest son got engaged, and we just got a family group text that they eloped yesterday. I haven’t got my wife’s reaction yet, but I’m tickled that I don’t have to dress up for a big fancy wedding. :thumb:

Happy Birthday Lee!

I got a somewhat interesting phone call this morning. A guy called wanting to know how much money I would charge him to use a 50 amp outlet in my RV park to charge his car. That was a first, but it it does have me thinking about a new business opportunity. I’m just not sure if I could handle a bunch of Birkenstock sandal wearing yuppies lined up waiting to charge their cars.

Yes. We worked at an RV park in southern Utah back in late 2017 and to mid 2018. That RV park had one site set off by itself that was just the electric pole with 50 amp. That park was even listed in Tesla's list of "authorized" charging stations. However, we got a few that would come in and only want to charge for x-number of minutes so they would have enough charge to get to the next charging station.

At the time, the park was charging something like $35 per night for an RV site. The boss said he would gladly charge EV drivers half price for a 2 hour charge. The Teslas that I saw came with adapters that would allow the owner of the car to plug into 50-amp, 30-amp, or even a 20-amp socket. 50-amp let them charge quicker than both 30 or 20.

Good morning,
Yesterday was the first day for our team (students) to compete at the World Championships. We came away with 5 first place world champions, 1 second place and 3 fourth places. It was a good day.
We only have one competing today so it will be an easy day.
Have a great day!
Very impressive! Congratulations to your team.

The year is getting off to a bad start. I smashed a finger and almost broke my elbow booming down a tractor this morning. The knot is about the size of a chicken egg.

Damn Retrieverman! I had a similar start to the New Year. Brush hogging my Mom's pasture and tractor started a little white smoke while running the PTO. Thought I could finish before it got worse but took a turn and heard something weird. The wheel on the brush hog broke a bolt and fell off! Had to go borrow a longer trailer as the mechanic wanted both the tractor and the brush hog to try and isolate the cause. The white smoke has happened before after about 2 hrs of mowing.

My 2001 30 hp Kubota started blowing white smoke, and it smelled like antifreeze. When I checked under the hood, the radiator overflow was overflowing, and the radiator was low. It ended up being a cracked head, and the best the mechanic could tell a little corrosion on the head was the cause. Needless to say, it wasn’t a cheap fix.
I sincerely hope yours is something simpler and cheaper to fix.
