Commiserations for @retrieverman and kudos for @dancer4life teams.

As for us today, we are awaiting the delivery of a new refrigerator sometime this morning. Hahn's is where we bought it and they said that their people would even install the new one in an RV, including taking off the doors and such to get it through the entry door. Plus, they will remove the old one and haul it away.

Then, tomorrow we are off to head west to visit my sister in Amarillo, with a stop in El Reno for an oil change on the Expedition and then drop off 4 photos on canvas to friends in Elk City. Those photos are gifts, just because they are great people. They are the ones that worked on our RV and we've known them since around 2008. They are dealers for our brand of RV.

When we drop off the photos, I'll try to get a picture of them (they are printed like they were on canvas) and post it here. Bedford Camera is where we had them made, and they did a darn good job. The guy that did the work wouldn't even handle them unless he was wearing cotton gloves to prevent getting fingerprints on them.

Just spoke to one of my dad's doctors, and he gave me this update: 1- he will be where he is now for at least 3-4 more days, and then will probably be transferred to an inpatient rehab spot for a couple weeks (tentatively); 2- his throat issues (inflammed, raw, etc) are not worsening, as of Sunday's CT; 3- they are still treating the infection in his lungs, and will not do a biopsy until the infection is better/gone; 4- the biggest clarification, that the infection and the "mass" in his lungs are two different things, not possibly the same issue...which means if its a tumor/cancer/whatever, we won't know until the biopsy is able to be done, at least a week or two away. I'll update again as new info comes in. Thanks to all of you again for the support!

@clintbailey prayers for your dad. Here's hoping things smooth out and he gets back up on his feet soon.

@dancer4life congrats to the team!! Y'all did a GREAT job!

@retrieverman how's the elbow today?

@OKRuss hope that's an easy fix.

I'm off today and tomorrow, which is a good thing. There is something going around and while I'm not so sick I couldn't work, I just don't feel like it. I think Grumpy has "it" also. Achy muscles, headache, just generally run down feeling. I have a slight fever. So far Grumpy has stayed normal. I see a nap in my immediate future. Then fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy for dinner.

Thanks THAT Gurl - I hope so too!

You and Grumpy will be just fine as long as you don't start playing professional sports! :) Get feeling better. Starve a cold, feed a fever? 98.7 is still a fever right?! You've got comfort dinner going so on the mend.

My bout with the 'crud' was fairly short lived so hope it's the same way for you guys 🙏

More folks to pray for, and I'm dang happy to do it.

We got our refrigerator installed, and according to the installers, what little food we had can go into it at around 8:00 pm. Not starting the ice maker thing until we get back from visiting my sister in Amarillo. We head for there in the morning, and my niece texted me and stated that my sister fell again. She stated something to the effect that the "care center" couldn't use bed rails because Texas seems to believe that those are a form of "restraint." They are trying to get my sister "transferred" to my niece's home, even though my niece has a shoulder immobilized and will find it difficult to help her much.

I've had reason to wonder about Texas before, but this one kind of baffles me. What is wrong with trying to prevent someone from falling out of bed or falling because there isn't anything there to assist one in getting up?

I looked it up, because that sounds crazy about not being able to use bed rails. Here’s what I found…
Are Nursing Homes Allowed to Use Physical Restraints on Residents in Texas? Under Texas Law, nursing home residents have the right to be free from physical restraints unless they are necessary to treat medical symptoms. In this case, physical restraints may be used only with a physician's authorization.
It sounds like your sister’s doctor needs to re evaluate his patient.
