Good evening folks,
Well the wife and I have been here at the lake relaxing after our annual Convention that we run every year in Oklahoma City. It was our largest convention to day. We had over 3800 entries. Competitors from all over the world. It was months and months of preparation and the 5 day event went by sooooo fast. But it was a huge success.
We left Sunday night after we packed up and put everything back in storage and came straight to the lake house. Will be up here until Monday then back to work as usual.

Wife and I went into town today a bought a chit load of flowers and plants for our lake house. We spent about 4 hours planting this afternoon.

Then I went back to Lowe’s and bought a new power washer. I had a Craftsman 3000 psi washer that only lasted about 3 years. The pump went out two weeks ago. I sold it yesterday for the Briggs & Stratton motor.
I wound up getting a new Simpson Pro 3400 psi power washer with the new Honda engine. It worked great today power washing the deck.

Ohhhh like that washer @dancer4life ... I'm not quite ready to bite the bullet but I'd sure like to have one ... My patio is ALWAYS filthy. Might have something to do with the danged wind in this place. Lol

Pretty decent day. I'm deep-cleaning and re-organizing the pantry. I've looked for some plastic containers to store stuff like pasta and dried beans in and FINALLY found some that could have been custom-made for me. They stack PERFECTLY 5 high and 2 deep, with NO wasted space on my shelves -- NONE ... My ADHD OCD shelf can now die happy. 🤷🤣 Well, just as soon as I get done repackaging everything anyway. 🤦🤦

I dunno what's going on with me but my heartburn has been going in overdrive lately. Good thing I've been trying to get in to see a GI doc since ****ing October. I figure I'm shifting over from chronic heartburn to Barrett's. Next step after that is esophageal cancer. Gotta love socialized medicine. 🙄🙄🙄 I sure hope they can at least get me into hospice before I'm in the ground. 🙄🙄🙄

Congrats on the big show you guys put on! Glad it went well. I'm sure an event like that takes TONS of preparation.

Just an FYI, those pumps rarely give up completely. 95% of the time it's the little check valves along the side with the screw head caps on them that break a spring or get some trash under them.
The replacements are very inexpensive. I've helped put many back in service.

Yes, I love this power washer. My mom has a GreenWorks 1600 psi electric power washer. it works really good too and it only cost her $100 a while back. The mail drawback for me is the damn electrical cord. But for small or frequent jobs, It works really good.

Congrats on finding the new plastic containers. I know i love it when I find something that works so much better than what I already have. I understand the OCD. I‘m that way in many things as well. 😀

So so sorry to hear about your heartburn. Praying for you and praying that it doesn’t turn into Barrett’s and especially esophageal cancer. Man that has to be frustrating. Phucking socialized medicine. 🤬

Yes, I was told that as well. I ordered and new check valve ($14 on Amazon) a couple of weeks ago and changed it out. It still didn’t improve it. I didn’t really want to mess with it after that so I sold it to a neighbor and bought the new one.
Wish I would have posted on here first. Maybe I could have brought it to you to look at first.

Some pumps do fail. Sounds like yours did. It was just a suggestion for future use, but it appears you have that covered.
I told my wife when I bought another pressure washer, it would have to be electric start. I absolutely HATE pulling on a rope starter.
Well, found one for sale as the pump failed dirt cheap, put the check valves in and it's working great but it still has that #$$%&& pull rope.
My craftsman pole saw has a port where a small attachment can be inserted and then put on a battery powered impact wrench to start it. I love that attachment.

Our 17 year old daughter that will be moving to Norman in the fall to attend OU woke my wife and me up at 12:45 this morning wanting to get into bed with us, because she was scared of a rain storm. We don’t have a 3 person bed, so I slept on the couch. In her defense, it was a pretty good storm with a little hail, but it’s making me question if she’s ready to live on her own.

Bless her heart ... Seriously. You know she may be worried about it also (going out on her own) but just can't verbalize it. Your a good dad -- I know at least 2 men who would have thrown a fit over being woken up and being inconvenienced. You know, they say women are drawn to men like their fathers. They apparently are not lying about that. Lol 🤦🤦🤦 Chances are your daughter will wind up with a really good man.

When we first got married, my wife was pretty upset with severe thunderstorms. Being that she and the boys were together a lot while I was out driving trucks, they kind of picked up the same issue. I finally was able to manage to get all three of them to be less concerned. With the boys, I simply told them that it was "God's sound and light show."

On another thought here, kudos that your "Texas" daughter is going to be coming to Oklahoma, although I'm not sure OU is the best choice. What is her major going to be?
