spent some time calling in a bigTOM on saturday. He,and his buddies, talked to me for about 2 hours and came down towards my clearing but would never enter it. Did not get a shot but it was fun communicating with them.
I tend to do stuff for free and give stuff away to my family and some friends which is how I think it should be. It chaps my @ss when you do someone that way, and then I get my britches ripped by them on a deal later. As the old saying goes…no good deed goes unpunished.
Glad you got it setup finally. Things like that drive me crazy! My daughter lost her driver’s license a few months back. We went to the tag agency with a copy of her birth certificate, but they wouldn’t accept it. They did however accept her medical insurance card with only her name on it. Made no sense to me.I‘ve known for years there’s a lot of inefficiencies in the postal service, but the run around I’m getting just trying to get a P.O. Box is ridiculous.
The back story is that we’ve still been getting mail at my old house so have never bothered getting a mail box at our new place, but now we’re looking to sell the old house and need to move our address. The new place has a 911 physical address, but our driveway is at the bottom of a hill and wouldn’t be safe for the mail carrier to stop. My plan was to get a P.O. Box for mail and just use the physical address for packages. I went to the post office last week and was told I needed two forms of proof of my address, so I went back today with my electric and water bill with my physical address on them. The person today said those won’t work, and I need an insurance bill or my deed with the physical address on them.
I’m going back to the PO one more time, and if they require me to jump through anymore hoops, I’m just going to have them put up a mail box across from my driveway. The mail carrier’s safety really isn’t my problem anyway.:finger:
Ironically, I just got a P.O. Box in Cherokee, OK last month, and there was none of this BS.
Edit to add that I finally jumped through all the hoops and got my PO box set up.

We made it to Rhode Island yesterday after three grueling days of driving. Went through the city traffic of a few "somewhat major" cities, but managed to miss the worst part of the NYC area, although I-95 going from that area towards RI was backed up good in a couple of places.
Got us this morning and managed to get two of the four certification sites in Rhode Island done before rain stopped us. Tomorrow is supposed to be good weather, so we should be able to get the last two done, and after than, I want to go back down to the area of the first one and get some pictures taken. I might have some pictures to show in a day or three.
I've never been to New England in the spring or summer, it's always been the fall season for me. May have to change that sometime!
