Up on my soapbox. The “news” media is and has always been a joke. Just this week the story of the 1 kid shot by his brother accidentally at the Choctaw Walmart parking lot keeps changing every time it’s reported. The 8 year old victim is now 12. The kids involved were PD kids now city employee kids. Media is all about “first” “only on” etc. screw accuracy.

Thru my life I have had “first hand” knowledge of a news item only a couple of times. Reports have almost always had inaccuracies. But it was “heard here first”

@tynyphil Boy you aren't kidding. "Mainstream media" used to thumb their noses at rags like the National Inquirer. Now they are so much worse than the Inquirer used to be. 🙄🙄🙄 I turn everything out until I hear the weather come on. Then as soon as that's over I go back to my book.
Yes I always thought it was more of a national media problem. …..but it’s local as well.

Did anybody hear a loud BOOM this morning? I heard a big explosion right about the time that piddly rain cloud moved in. It really sounded like an electrical line fuse.

Here, but occasionally There.
Need I say more....

....H-O-M-E!!!!!

Going to visit my sister this weekend. For those that may have forgotten, she is 82 yo and going. She has fallen a few times, and this last one caused her to break 5 ribs. However, in spite of that, she is still in good spirits. Back a couple of years ago when we went to visit when she was going to have her 20th lifetime surgery, I told her that with all she had gone through, she was the epitome of "The Iron Lady."

Good evening all,
Just drove up to Grand Lake this evening from Oklahoma City. Stopped in Tulsa and met @Bocephus123 and picked up a couple Homelite chainsaws he was giving away. He is a super nice guy and it was good to put a face with the name.

We installed a ceiling under our roof over our deck here at the lake last weekend with 4x8 sheets of OSB. We got all finished in about 8 to 9 hours. The plan this weekend is to get it all painted. But the weather says it’s going to rain the next three days up here, so not sure if that will get done. If it rains, I have a couple of chainsaws to tinker with. Lol!

Hope you all had a great Wednesday.

Very interesting…..to me, anyway. I’m not much of a ‘reader”. Not that I can’t or don’t want to but I’m more of a do-er. Busy at something all the time. Anyway, recently got the audible version of “Return of the Gods”. It’s about an 8 hour listen so only play it generally while driving ( longer drives) It will freak you out. Explains a lot of what has/is going on in crazy world right now
