Hey guys. Nothing interesting to report here. Well ... Except ... I went and spent about a $100 on Ms. Beaky yesterday. She's healthy but thinks the cats are her friends so I was a little hesitant to release her back into the wild because of all the feral cats around here. So I was gonna make her habitat a little more habitable. Plus, I needed to rig up a way to keep her from escaping every time I open the lid. I'd hate for the dog to get her.

So ... I crack open the lid in top of her aquarium -- just enough to slide my hand it AND OOFFFFFF!!! she goes!! GODDAMMIT!! She flies across the living room headed for the sofa! WHERE DAWG IS HANGING OUT!

You know where this is going, right?? ****ing Dawg got ****ing Ms. Beaky midflight. Chomp! That was it. Ms. Beaky was pretty unceremoniously held until I was sure she had been released from her mortal coil then wrapped up in a Ziploc bag and tossed in the trash.

Now I have $100 worth of **** from PetsMart I need to take back ... FML ...

Morning y’all! I’m sure hoping today is better than yesterday. First thing yesterday morning, I had a big tree limb hit and blow in one of the windows on my skid steer, and I had to work the rest of the day in shattered glass and dust.
The new window will be in this morning, and I’m not starting today until I get it installed.
Y’all try to stay cool today, because the heat advisories I’m getting from the weather app make sound like it’s going to be a hot one.

Good morning folks.
We have the day off today and looking forward to seeing our kids tonight and tomorrow. They have moved back from their two year stay in Germany. We are going to help them clean out their storage units and load it in the Uhaul. They are taking it all to New Orleans on Saturday.
My wife and I are flying to New Orleans next weekend to help them move in and spend time with our grandson.

My wife was offered and accepted her first full-time job since 2005. She's going to teach Culinary Arts at a local high school. She was a long-term sub at that school last quarter and the teacher decided not to come back from maternity leave. She's well-suited for the position as she has a MA in teaching and taught Home Economics/Family and Consumer Sciences most places we've lived (Hawaii, Germany, and The Peoples' Republic of Maryland). Basically, she figured the kids were reared enough and she enjoys teaching. Sure am happy for her!!

Good morning folks, hope everyone is staying hydrated. My oldest son is coming down today, and we’re going to do some shooting and goof off for the afternoon. I’ve been busy all week trying to get everything done so I could take the day off for the most part. I had a young man working for me, but I haven’t seen him in over a week. Since the temps have been hitting over 100 degrees, I guess the weed eater quit fitting his hands.

Good morning all,
Well our kids flight made it in last night during the storms. I just knew they were going to be rerouted to Tulsa or something.
We are heading to Purcell to pick up a Uhaul and start loading up their belongings from storage. They plan to drive it all down to New Orleans tomorrow to their house.
Looks like the temps won’t be super bad today. Fingers crossed.
