Just a nice pic of some humming birds from me tonight.

Seems like their equipment is rather finicky...

Well, considering what that equipment is designed to do, it isn't too surprising. Each year, things evolve to make the systems work better. There are two lasers mounted on the back of the van's back rack that get pretty warm. They have devised a liquid cooling system to help keep them cooler. We had one van last year (just for a very short time) that got overheated and even sitting in the shade for almost an hour didn't help it. That van went back to the office and we got another one. One never knows when they have to come back to the office as to whether they will keep the van they have or take another one.

That's what the "We'll see" comment was all about. However, most of the time the systems work well. We had little trouble with the one in Rhode Island, but that van had a different laser system (one single laser instead of two), and it didn't get all that hot up there.

Good morning all,
We have another long day of work planned today. We are also getting ready for our company party this weekend that my wife and I host each year up at Grand Lake at our lake house. We have 45 people confirmed coming this weekend, so we are spending every free moment running errands and picking up all the supplies.
Our staff is coming Thursday to help set up tents, picnic tables and to help organize everything.
Then to fun starts Friday. It’s a whole lot of work but we love doing it every year.

We built our barn apartment in 2018, and one of the things my wife picked out was under cabinet LED lights in the kitchen. The first one went out within the first year, and the lighting store warrantied it. We have three more out right now that I’ve been dragging my feet on replacing, because I figured it was going to cost me close to $500. I took one of them down this morning and went to the lighting store, and after I explained the situation, the store manager is going to warranty all three of the lights. :woohoo1:
I got home this evening to put the light back up, and it’s the wrong color. I’m going to call them in the morning to see if they have the right color. If not, I guess I’ll just live with it.:rolleyes2

Man I'm glad I only have to do eye appointments once a year. When they dilate my eyes they might as well take a ball peen hammer and crack me right in the forehead with it. I took the "shady" way home -- thru all the historic neighborhoods around downtown and the Capitol area until I HAD to get out in the sun and then I just gutted it out the rest of the way home.

I needed to go to the store but that ship has sailed ... I'll go tomorrow when I get done at pain management, I guess ...

Rest of the week I'm staying INSIDE ... I love summer time but anything over about 90 is overkill if you ask me. Good golly, Miss Molly ... When I can't walk on the concrete barefoot (and I'm the original barefoot girl. Shoes are the devil's invention) then it's time to find a nice recliner in the house to wait it out.

When we had our kitchen remodel done around 6 years ago I wired in some undercounter LED lights. Best thing ever!

I really like the lights, but I’m not happy with the longevity. These are WAC brand and cost $165 each, and I’ve had to replace 4 out of 5 in just 5 years. I’ve always thought LED’s were supposed to last a lot longer than that. :anyone:

Is it the lights or the fixtures? We've just about changed every light in our RV home with LED's and have only had to change maybe 2 of those that were just bulbs to plug into fixtures. By contrast, we have good sized fixtures in the bedroom and living room that have "boards" with over a dozen LED elements, and we've had to replace a few of those.
