I said it in a reply last night how when I was going through all the old threads and seeing where some people passed away, and you guys mourned their passing.
All of your are friends, many outside of this site matter of fact. This place is special.
Yep. One of them is mine. Actually 2 of them. I'm horrible with passwords. I never really pay attention to stuff like that until somebody says something about it and then I'm like everybody else -- mildly curious ...
After a bunch of foot dragging by school employees, I was finally able to finish the cross country trail I started in January. This creek crossing is going to give them access to the whole trail system from the school campus. The school operations manager is very pleased, but I haven’t heard from the cross country coach yet.
Came home from a day scouting for big game in RMNP to find that 75-82 elk had invaded the RV park we are staying in. They are wandering around like pet dogs.

Just getting in from work. Had a busy busy day today.
My wife Marcy, is flying out to LA with one of our other teachers Thursday thru Saturday to set up some excursions for our pre cruise folks for our cruise in February. We always plan and set up excursions for people who come into port two days and one day prior to our cruise. This is the first time we are going out of LA so they are going out in person to set up some things for our peeps to do.
Soooooo……. that leaves me with the dogs at the lake house this weekend. What to do, what to do??? Lol!

Dinner was nice. I got a new pillow from JCP. Went to bed early because I got up at 4 am (something was bothering the chickens so I got up and went outside to check on them. Nothing out there -- they were just gossiping amongst themselves, I guess) so I slept like the dead. I love my new pillow. 
Grumpy goes back to work today. I am gonna clean out the garden (the raised rings in the front) and plant some stuff for a fall harvest. And clean up the kitchen ... How does the kitchen get messed up when you go out to eat, you ask. Well ... You marry someone like Grumpy ... Remember the kid in the Charlie Brown cartoons -- PigPen ??? -- yeah. That's how.
I am married to a giant 12-year-old ... 
But he's an okay fella, so there IS that ...

Good morning folks, hope everyone is staying hydrated. I’m in the long and slow process of moving homesteads. We decided to move shortly before Covid shut everything down, and material prices forced us to postpone. The price for materials have come down to a reasonable level so we are getting a little more done now. The electric meter was installed last week, and I’m working on setting up the main electric distribution panel along with some outdoor outlets for our RV and temp power for tools. Yesterday, I bought all the supplies and mounted the boxes. I set the cover for the main panel on the ground while mounting the box. When I went to pick it up, it was so hot that I could have fried an egg on it. If all goes well today, I’ll get everything wired together and have power going. If not, the hair that I have left on my head will probably be very curly. It’s 50/50.
There was a guy on another message board that was looking for a pound of powder and some magnum large rifle primers, and we had been PMing about trying to meet up. He went MIA/incommunicado on Saturday the 12th. I thought he might’ve found some closer or changed his mind, but when I checked in on that board last night, I found out he died from a blood clot on Saturday the 12th. This is the second time this has happened to someone I was dealing with.
It’s only supposed to 107* here in east TX today, so it should be a great day to work outside (extreme sarcasm).

It’s only 10:15, and my belt buckle is already sweating. I feel like I went swimming with my clothes on. It’s going to be a long day.
