I had to go because she wants one in her colors for the home. A BIG one that will take two or maybe three people to do while moving the canvas around for full coverage of the acrylic. The lighting wasn't good, the colors are really more vibrant.I LOVE doing pours!! Hers is stunning!! Yours is nice, too. (Her colors are not quite as jarring. I like "calmer elements" in my old age now! )
Eta: Oh see?? You DO have a fan, Dennis!!
Hold up, there are people here been here decades? Not you, but you ain't even top commenter on the site. What??!?!? Wow. Let's see I was here 3 years, maybe 4 before I found SB and that was 2007 ... Uhmmmm ... Hmmmm ... OH!! Thank GOD it wasn't 12. I've been here 14 years also. Man time passes so quick. I don't feel that old ...
I take it the glass is inlayed into that rock?My wife is kind of an “artsy” person. Does a lot of things with glass.

So this morning, she said get your Azz out of bed we have a class.
I was sure it had to be something like how to be a bourbon tasting contest judge or something similar, but nooooo.
It’s an acrylic art class on canvas.
WTF did you sign me up for woman! Get in the kitchen and make me a ham sammich!
Well, it didn’t actually happen that way and off we went.
We actually learned two techniques. One there are no pics of, and these that we finished.
It doesn’t use a brush, but is a pour on after layering the acrylic in a cup. A couple of the colors are mixed with silicone oil so cells are created. The canvas is inverted, cup applied to the center, turned with the cup on top and then cup raised. As the colors spread, the canvas is manipulated to make sure all is covered. It’s messy and requires an overnight sit to dry.
I’m no true artist like Hunter Biden, but it sure turned out interesting.
Wife wants to do a big one to hang in the house when we get home.
Hers is first and mine is second.
