Got some work done this weekend on the remodel project. Cut the crown moulding for 4 rooms, and got 2 sets of it painted. Got the back exterior light working, it lights up the yard pretty good. Picked up some 1x4's for window/door casing. Put the kids to work today outside, they got a bunch of yardwork done for me so I can focus on the remodel work, did a good job too (with some "helpful hints" from me 🤣). Hope I can get the other moulding painted and some 1x4's cut and painted in the next few days...

Here, but occasionally There.
We've had an interesting time the last 5 or 6 days. About Thursday or Friday, a small dog showed up in the RV park without a collar. She looked pretty healthy, but she was shy of letting at least two guys from catching her. She would go up to one of our neighbor ladies and later went up on our porch to my wife. However, when I reached out to pet her, she nipped at me, so we suspect that some guy or male child has been abusive towards here.

We finally got her caught and brought her into our RV. We didn't notify the park people because one of them was a park employee/part owner, and we suspect that he would have shot her if he had caught her. Wife put my throw blanket on the recliner or on the floor for her to lie on, so I guess over time, she got accustomed to my scent because she would come to me if I sat down. (She really liked chest scratching.)

We reached out to the folks in our church small group to see if any of them wanted a nice dog, but no takers. So, the wife called a veterinarian close by and scheduled a check-up for the dog. There is no way that we can have a dog and travel as much as we still do, so we planned to look for an animal shelter after the checkup.

We went to church on Sunday and then to small group meet and left the dog in our bathroom so she couldn't make a mess all over the place. There is a gap between the bottom of the bathroom door and the floor, and she managed to wiggle her way out of the bathroom. When we got home and the wife opened the RV's entry door, out came the dog. I was on the opposite side of the RV turning the water back on to the RV and heard the wife say that we might have a hard time catching her again. However, the dog saw me on the opposite side and ran over to me and started jumping up on my legs, enough that I could catch her.

So, Monday morning comes and the wife takes the dog into the vet. Vet calls us later and says that the dog is very healthy with only needing her teeth cleaned but that she is also pregnant. That concerned me because I didn't know whether animal shelters would want to take a pregnant pup. Then about 20 minutes later, the vet called back again. She said that she had a relative that wanted to give the dog a home, so we went over and paid the vet bill and was extremely glad that she would have a home and we wouldn't have to "just drop her off at a shelter." (After she came to me on Sunday and wanted my attention, I was beginning to get the feeling that I was going to be just one more person that would "dump her off" at a shelter.)

Good morning gang.
Update:
I have been so busy dealing with insurance companies, home health and physical therapy people from afar these past few days that we haven’t really been able to relax much on our trip.
We got my mom released from the rehab facility yesterday and she is now staying with my brother. He has a nice big house and plenty of room.
When we get back, We will go to her place at the lake and rearrange furniture and just get it ready for her wheel chair and walker. She should be back on her feet walking Normal in about 3 to 6 months.
It has been stressful but finally it is all working out.
Now we can relax and enjoy the rest of our stay here at our favorite resort in Mexico. It’s called Eldorado Royal between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. it’s at Karisma resort and we are Safire members. Comes with swim up suits, butlers, golf carts, breakfast in bed every morning. It is super nice. We are going for a massage on the beach this morning after breakfast and then either beach time or pool time.
Here’s a few pics of our place.

Looks like a great vacation! When I first read your description of the resort, I thought why wouldn’t you just bring your own swim suit. After reading it again, I read it correctly “swim up suits”. My reading comprehension needs some work.

Ok, my wife and I drove up after she got out of school yesterday with plans to meet our daughter for supper in Norman. We didn’t get up there until around 8:30, and by the time we got to campus and picked her up, it was a little after 9. We were shocked at how many restaurants close at 9 IN A COLLEGE TOWN. What’s up with that?!? Even Starbucks on Lindsey street was locked up tight.:anyone:

As we were heading out of the city on the way to the house, I said something about going hunting this morning, and my wife said “but we won’t get there until about 1am”. I asked here how she could be married to me for 34 years and still not know me.

I think Covid had just FUBAR'd the entire world. 🤷

That's too funny -- Grumpy sometimes will say something to me and I will look around for his girlfriend. Because I KNOW he would NEVER talk to me like that! 😳🤔😂
