Long day on the road today. Got a call that our RV was ready to pick up at McClains RV on I40 after getting some work done on the bedroom slide. A stop at Cabellas cost me about $700 before getting out the door, and then at the RV store, the RV was far from ready to go. Batteries were dead so the hydraulics wouldn't lift it to go on the hitch. While charging it, found the hitch socket torn all to hell from them using a forklift with a short ball on it to lift and move the Anderson Hitch. The service guy said it wasn't the first time and heads were going to roll after he told them to change to a higher ball on the forklift. After about three hours at the store, they got it all changed out and had to drive home in the dark, which wasn't that bad as lots of the traffic on I-40 and I-35 had subsided, so it was an easy cruise home with a 15mph tailwind.

McClains is a pretty far dealership from where you live. What brand of RV do you have?

And, just for grins and giggles, I'm not sold on Anderson hitches. Maybe that is because of my 18-wheeler background and regular fifth wheels.

Just seems like it's one thing after another.

Had skin cancer removed from my nose again Mon. morning (9 stitches) and it looks like I may have to head back to the dermatologist this morning.....the dressing came off sometime in the night and I may have popped a stitch or two in my sleep.

Mama sure ain't gonna be real happy when she gets up and sees the mess I made on her pillowcase and sheets. :)
Well crap !

Had the stitches removed yesterday morning and just got a call from the doc and the biopsy finally came back and it shows there is still some cancer remaining and I've got to go back in next week and be whittled on again.

Back story:....not counting several other places I've had to have cancer removed from my nose (counting the one coming up) six times and two of those times they had to put me under and take tissue from behind my ears and do a skin grafts to fill in the holes.

Naturally I'd rather have the surgery again than run the risk of losing a portion or all of my nose but one of us is getting mighty damn tired of being whittled on. :)

Not going to preach but I recommend that everyone goes to the dermatologist at least twice a year for a complete head to toe exam......because of my past history with skin cancer I go every 90 days.

It appears someone attempted to hack my Capital One credit card at the WMart gas pumps. :censored:
now I understand crooks can scan your key bob, or credit/debit card, in your pocket, and steal your push button start vehicle, or order stuff with your cards? I'm old, and not very tech savvy and don't know if this s is true or the people saying this are the crooks, selling protection from non-existent danger? Politicians have scared us into voting for them, with warnings of non-existent dangers, as long as there have been politicians!!
