Y’all ever heard of turkey tail mushrooms?
I hadn’t until today. There’s a guy on a muzzleloader message board that was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May, and his PSA number was 6.1. He started taking turkey tail mushroom pills and cut back on red meat, and his PSA number is now .4
In my limited research this evening, TTM’s supposedly have quite a few health benefits.
Never heard of them until tonight.
I did this research though.

Wife's appt in Edmond wasn't much more conclusive than earlier ones. Eye pressure is still elevated, which is their main concern. She has to get it tested daily in Elk City until Friday, when we have to do a follow up in Edmond. They believe the retina is ok but still can't get a clear look at it to be 100%.

Long as they are keeping an eye on it -- pun maybe intended a little bit 😉😁 ... Seriously though I'm glad they are staying on top of it. When I had that cellulitis last year I learned a lot about the stuff in and around eyeballs. It was fascinating.

Good morning, everyone,
Another long day today then we are heading back up to the Lake house for a couple of days. Trying to get everything tightened up for the cold season. We will be traveling the rest of the month so this will be it until the middle of December.

I got notice this morning from the United Country Western Dance Council (The world governing body of county dance) to be awarded the Pioneer of Country Dance award this year. The ceremony and award will be given to us on Friday, January 5th at the World Championships. Nothing like being honored as a pioneer to make a person feel really old. 😩It really Is an honor but now I have a huge list of things that I now have to gather together to send them for the video production and things and a bio of my life in the industry. I have 30 days to get it in to them. Nothing like finding out during our busiest month of the fricking year. Oh well, just more chit to do. It will get done.

Have a blessed day!

Update from the cardiologist appointment I had yesterday. So I go in, get the vitals done, then an EKG. About 10-minutes later cardiologist doc comes in, looks at the EKG printout, checks my lungs and heartbeat (stethoscope) ask how I'm feeling and then tells me that according to the EKG and heart rhythm he listened to I'm currently in the middle of an Atrial Fibrillation episode at that very moment.

Kind of floored me with that bit of info considering that there are Defibrillators hanging off the walls all over the place and I've always been told that a Fibrillation episode can be an instant death sentence unless help arrives with a Defibrillator quickly.

He then continues on as if nothing is going on, to discuss remedies like medications to control my heart (different from the Metoprolol that I'm presently on), Artrial Ablation, or open-heart surgery. And of course the . . . you've got to lose weight, exercise more, and here's a script to reduce your bodies water retention and bloating problems. "Oh, and don't wait too long trying to decide which route you want to take." - WTF!

Then it was off to get my Zoster *** (for Shingles) with the warning that the next day (today) my arm is going to be sore and I'll probably be real tired (both being typical symptoms of that vaccination). So here I sit with a sore arm, a HUGE mug of coffee while trying to stay awake while pounding the keyboard on OSA.

Just curious dancer but did you at one time give line-dance lessons in Hutchinson, KS back around maybe '93 - '95? If so, I may have been one of your paying students.

Oh, and congrats on your award! :clap3:

Congrats, Dancer! That is very cool!

Dang, Chuckie!!:yikes2::yikes2::yikes2::yikes2: I'd be kinda nervous too! That's crazy!Have you figured out what you want to do??

I went to the sleep study doc this morning. And yeah, I gotta do a sleep study. :rolleyes2 But I guess times have changed and I can do it at home now and they will call me in 3 weeks to set up an appointment to discuss what to do after that. Also, stop taking the benedryl to help me sleep because some studies have indicated that benedryl usage can lead to dementia. :rolleyes2:rolleyes2:rolleyes2 I cannot win for losing ... lol

So I have about 45 minutes or so until I have to go for my Medicare "well baby check-up" for the year. AND then I am coming home, sitting down in front of my sewing machine and I am not doing a damned thing I don't want to for the rest of the evening. :woohoo1::woohoo1::woohoo1:

When I started having noticeable heart problems a year ago just prior to my cataract surgery, the VA had me take two separate home sleep studies to see if Sleep Apnea may have been contributing to the Atrial Fibrillation I was experiencing. Both studies turned out to show that my Sleep Apnea was only about 11% which was below the minimum requirement (13%) for a CPAP/BPAP/VPAP.
You'll do fine with the study THAT Gurl :comfort:

It is very possible. I opened my studio in 1992 and started traveling and teaching on the road around 93 into 95. I taught at various in Kansas, Missouri and North & West Texas all while running my studio here in OKC.

It's been a great ride and so far, it is still moving forward. lol!
