I shot the white buffalo at the Whittington Center today with my M1 Garand. Warmed up on the silhouettes at 525 yds, then dialed up the sights and hit the buffalo the first 3 shots! Not sure if the wind got me after that or what, but only hit it 1 more time out of those 8 rounds.
Any suggestions on what we should do while we are there? We plan on hiking some of the trails around Broken Bow. Anything we should do in Hochatown?
Congrats on your anniversary!My wife and I celebrated 35 years of mostly wedded bliss yesterday, and our tradition for most of those years has been eating a steak at Outback. Even though our steer beef is better than anything you can buy around here, my wife still sometimes likes to go out for the ambiance, but all she wanted last night was me to cook filets on the grill. We still kind of like each other, so I guess we’re going to stay together and try to make it to number 36 next year.

We really like that area.
We drove through there once, and it's been a dream to get back there to shoot some day.
There is an RV park there in the desert that is sparce for shade, but the critters move through there often I've heard if anyone is traveling through there.
You do not have to be a member of the NRA to shoot or camp there.
Amazing ranges. Couldn't believe how many stations were on the 1000 yard range.
I elk hunted for many years on the other side of those mountains.
New casino if you're interested in that. Several pretty decent restaurants and a cool mercantile store that we didn't buy anything at, but fun to see the odd stuff they offered like a flounder light to be used in saltwater, etc.

Not great at extraterrestrial photos, but this one surprised me. It was the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn a few years ago. Then, one of my church friends that I shared it with pointed out to me that one could even see a couple of Jupiter's moons.

Like Dennis said, there's a new casino. We didn't go there, but there's lots of restaurants, breweries, shops, etc.
We went with my cousin and his wife and were just kinda' chillin' for a long week-end. Go to Girls Gone Wine. They have really built up quite a shop there. There's a Hochatown animal rescue walk through park/petting zoo that's kinda' neat if you like that sort of thing.
