yep. almost all of his long passes have been lobs in the general direction of blackman, who usually is covered up, but he is so good he manages to pull it off anyway. but when they play OU or Neb. or somebody like that, he better be careful or he'll be throwing lots of interceptions.
I felt he was actually doing a bit better with the "lobs" this game than in the past - maybe there was less of these types? - but I saw him throw several that I thought could have been a lot better. He didn't lead his receiver quite enough on some which, eventhough they were completed, could have gone for much more yardage if they'd been hit in stride instead of slowing or even coming back. He also seems to be having a bit of trouble with passes in the flat to receivers that are obviously covered up. Even if they were completed instead of being intercepted by a defender jumping the route, they went for losses or almost no gain. All in all, though, they did look pretty good.
glad to hear he did better this game. i missed 90% of it. actually the only pass over 20-30 yards that i got to see today was the one intercepted in the endzone. not sure i agreed with that call, but it all worked out in the end
If Weeden ever gets that thumb cast off. he'll burn some D secondary. Not bad for a rebuilding year.
