He's probably the worst runner we've had in a while, which is not to say he's immobile... Baker wasn't the fastest but somehow was very elusive and hard to bring down, Hurts was a running back with a great arm and Kyler... well, Kyler is in a league by himself.

It makes me want to say the 'puss' word. Rattler is scared to take a hit. It's written all over his face. Now that he is a nil type of player he is going to do anything it takes to keep from getting nailed.
I don't think he's any more scared of getting hit than any other QB, but he's getting pressured a lot more this year, which must have some impact on him, and that boils down to that inexperience in the interior line, IMHO. One thing Mayfield, Murray, Hurts, and 2020 Rattler had was a solid O-line, so they had the confidence to stand in the pocket, set their feet, and make the throws--and it's a lot easier to make good decisions when you aren't dodging defenders.
Perfect analysis IMO. Mayfield's speed was hard to see but he had some wheels. Mostly bursts, I don't think he could outrun the safeties in a 90 yard jaunt or anything, but he had some killer speed for a short distance and a pretty good hole shot.
ETA: And yea, Kyler could smoke anyone on the field with those short legs of his, he was amazing to watch.

I saw a documentary on college football, about the bagmen or money guys who would drop bags of cash to gain new recruits, then keep dropping cash to keep them during the season, NCAA turns a blind eye to the big schools doing this but if some small podunk team starts winning too many recruits or games the NCAA knows they can find cash violations and do, example Jimmy Johnson at OSU most of his players had shiny new cars OSU busted but at the same time I bet he still didn't have the cash to compete with bigger schools that didn't get busted, guess the pay deal is all different now?
