I randomly saw that video last night, and I hate to think about having to physically dragging a deer to far much less carry one.

I debone in field. Not Quarter. Never even gut out. It took 25 minutes on last deer in the dark. Unzip the back down spine, skin one half over, debone, flip deer over and repeat. I keep a couple of trash bags on me and you easily haul out 1/3 of total live weight of only usable meat. Nothing to discard later when you get home (another time and stink saver). That means I leave the heart and liver for the yotes too (some may disapprove). Way easier and I have a nice expandable backpack my daughter bought me. Put the trash sack inside for liner and go to town. Way more comfortable to haul with only 25% energy or less (actually only 10-15% most probable depending on distance) than removing animal from field. Not legal on most public lands. Your hands only, barely get bloody (not up to your elbows in fouled inners) and it washes off way easier than that sticky fat from a stinky gut job. There is no smell stuck to your hands, door handle, steering wheel, etc. etc. If you got a 16-20oz bottle of water, you get to drink half and use last 1/2 to rinse off. Not need 1/2 to 1 gallon to wash and you still stink. One paper towel wipes your hands clean. No gloves needed. Been doing this last 12-15 years. Wish I had done it previous 30 years.
45 min from trigger pull to driving out the gate last time I did one. It dropped out in wheat field, I used a rope to drag an ice chest 40yds to where it dropped, sat on ice chest while I worked. Left carcass in eroded terrace ditch, it was gone 2 days later from critter buffet.
I always thought that wasn't a good idea especially on public land where every ahole might take a shot at your "deer"
I tied a fawns legs together and tried to pack it out wearing it like a satchel once. This way looks a lot easier. Not as easy as driving up to it and loading it in a truck though

If I can’t get a truck, tractor or ATV to it, I think long and hard before I pull the trigger.
I just cut them up and put them in a ruck and hike them out. That is… if youre strong enough to ruck 50-90lbs for a mile or 5 if youre just that into it. Or at least to a spot where you can get a truck to!
I have also done the gutless cleaning method and haul only the meat out.
