POF and LWRC are the big names when it comes to piston driven AR's. I did a lot of research on both and went with the LWRC. It just seemed like the better built rifle and their company has better customer service reviews.

I originally bought a 16" LWRC and to be honest, didn't like it and sold it. The added weight over a DI system was just not worth it. I went with LWRC again when I went with a 10.5" SBR. I feel that piston guns shine in the SBR platform. Anything 12.5" or longer, I would stick with DI.

I never could figure out the great love for the 415. Reminds me of a Para ordnance. Just shiny. And what is up with the Gallagher cabbage shredder on the 308?
