Pheasants?

Anyone going out on the 1st? Me and a few buddies will be out looking for some roosters. We will not be using a dog so things will be kind of difficult. Just hoping to flush some out walking through the milo fields. I will have a German short haired pointer for next season though. The kids are getting one for Christmas (I.E. really for me).

I was hearing quite a few during the first of archery season and seeing a few on the roads, but these last few weeks almost nothing. Could be a long pheasant season. Was looking foward to getting my lab into some birds as well, may just have to stick to the ducks Hope you guys find some.

Actually, seeing a few birds. It's more than I saw last year. Most are hens though.
