Is the slang for the no volley zone (kitchen) dumb? Yes
Are the rules strange? Yes
Is it hard at first to keep and call score before a serve? Yes
Can old people play and be decent? Yes
All that being said, is it fun? Yes
I personally have given people (younger than me) a hard time for playing pickleball. So I tried it for the first time back in May and it turns out that it is fun. There are also some pretty funny ig videos making fun of it.
