My hinged wooden doors are kept open with 1 x 2's. There is no glass to fog up. I can close any that can create a draft. If I am running a heater before daylight there is enough opening around the doors for the heater to breath and maintain oxygen

Ive settled on
6 x 8 with lots of height inside. (Gun, Crossbow and Bow friendly...plus i'm 6'4" so it helps)
(Already ordered the 4x4 leg brackets!!!)
Spray foam insulation
stall mats or something like that on the floor
Buddy Heater(s) with big tank
Some sort of ventilation besides the windows. (working that one out in my noggin)
Prehung house type door on the end
2x6 floor frame, 3/4 ply
2x4 walls/roof
Hardboard siding
deep cycle battery/solar charger
inverter inside and led lighting...also a cig lighter outlet with usb charging ports
etc..etc...
Not sure on window and shutter design yet tho........................
Now i just have to remember that IT'S JUST A DEER BLIND!!!!!!!! : )

Sounds like it is gonna be comfy! Keep us posted on the progress as you build it, pictures would be cool as you go along as well.
I'll definitely document it all. Like mentioned before i just want something comfortable because i like being able to be out for a long time and i just can't fight the cold like i used to be able to. It'd also be nice to just go out the night before and crash and wake up and BAM...INSTAHUNT...LOLOL.

Spray foam insulation in a deer blind in Oklahoma is WAY overkill, IMHO. And I still think 6x8 is too big even for two people. All that said, I'm interested in your build and please report back to us your likes and dislikes after you get it finished and are able to hunt from it some.
LOL i agree on the overkill but as of right now it looks like i'll be able to get it done really cheap and i figured it'd help keep wasps n stuff out. I may ditch the idea once i get it built tho... : ) the only drawback i see to it is that if i want to change something (construction wise) afterwards i have to dig all that foam out...which is not fun. Never know what this will end up as untill it's "done".

I'm not trying to be a smarta$$ but it sounds like you need a small camping trailer..I sold a 19 foot camping trailer to a friend several years ago and this is exactly what he did with it..Painted it with some odd ball green paint and pulled it to the area he was hunting..Actually I'm not sure but I think a state record or close to a state record was shot from it at one time..It's only been about 30 years ago so I can't really remember..
Now....Just my opinion on building one...6x8 is almost twice too big..I've been hunting these types of stands for over 40 years (South Texas) and the one I built and have been using for years is 4x4..My windows are 16 inches by 4 foot and are the same siding that is on the rest of the stand..Each window also has a 8x16 glass pane window for looking when I have the main windows closed. Each one is hinged across the top and held open with a 1/4 inch rope that goes through the wall from the inside..I didn't want anything in my way if I was shooting out the window..I also have a full 4 foot shelf over head to keep everything on except my stove...First year I tried the buddy heaters..couldn't keep them burning even with all four windows open..They seemed to be pretty worthless to me..I've used one of the little propane bathroom heaters found in a lot of the old houses..It works great and I can boil water and coffee or toast a sandwich on top. I'm not too worried about lack of oxygen since my windows are the full wdth of my stand. the reason I like the 4x4 is I can set in the middle in my swivel rocker type desk chair and cover all four directions..when shooting out any window I can use the window to my right to rest my right elbow on which makes it almost like bench rest shooting..Finally..no matter what size you decide on I would frame it out but before locating my windows I would set the actually chair in side you will be using and while setting in the chair with your rifle this will help you put the height of the windows in the perfect location for shooting...Hope this hasn't been too long..I will post pictures of mine if I ever remember how to post pictures..I do think Dennis Hoddy has pictures of it also..Good luck and keep us posted..
