Yeah, I just used your post to illustrate that he didn’t say the money was going to the family. Luckily, he did make the claim in a post here on OSA so I stand corrected.

He did include in the text of the GiveSendGo that the proceeds would go to the family.

Do we know for sure that the funds were not given to one of the 3 people listed as recipients of the money? I’m not insinuating that one of Joel’s family would take the $1500 and tell everyone else that they never got it, but stranger things have happened.
