Report this to police, probably falls under embezzlement by trustee and is usually prosecuted with swift and heavy prosecution.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure if he actually broke any laws for criminal prosecution. I’m not a lawyer, but I don’t see any statement that the money will go to the family. Did he make any kind of written statement to the family that the money would be given to them? I hope that there is some sort of legitimate reason for not getting the money to the family yet. If not, I’ll join up for a little debt collection.

Yeah, I just used your post to illustrate that he didn’t say the money was going to the family. Luckily, he did make the claim in a post here on OSA so I stand corrected.
