A Rossi 62 pump 22lr I bought at the Tulsa Gunshow for what seemed like an absurd amount of money ~ $160 in about 1992/93ish.

The early 90s seemed like a bad time to buy anything firearm related. It was the "Slick Willie" administration, the internet was in its infancy and hi-cap pistol mags were selling for over 100 bucks each!

...and someday he'll sell it to me.
I really need to take my CZ out more.

I take pictures of my targets after I shoot and file them so I know what load/s run well and how well I am shooting. Pulled up my CZ targets … hell … I have not shot that rifle in seven and a half years! Latest target was from 11/30/16 shooting 55gr Norma FMJ ammo with 5 shots in .510”. I also tested Freedom 60gr JSP which put five shots in .579”.

With that full stock, the mini-Mauser action, the craftsmanship and that Leupold 1.25-4x scope with the #4 “German” reticle … completes that classy and sexy European vibe. ONLY negative is finding magazines. I only have two … would like to have at least four.

You are thinking … ya’ not shooting it … sell it. Not going to happen. Don’t even ask.

Reason why is that to me, as in the topic of this thread … it is a “favorite” because it is a “classic” that cannot be replaced. Like selling my 1978 Browning BDA (with the original box and owner’s manual), my Behlert tuned Colt Commander or Behlert tuned Belgium Browning Hi Power … or my Smith & Wesson 4” M629 (no dash). Would not be able to replace it with anything even close to the appeal that this rifle has to me.

You can find them … they are pretty reasonable cost wise (which mine would not be). I do wish that when I had the chance to buy a full stock in .308 that I had.

Always wanted one like that. Have a standard Ultra in 223 that’s a tack driver.

My favorite H&R is my Buffalo Classic in 45-70. Man that gun/round is fun to fling lead with.
