3 Godfathers was one I hadn’t seen till a few months ago, really good movie.
I can't speak to any one particular western of his that is a favorite. However, going back to older ones, I've always liked Hondo because the screenplay/book was written by Louis L'Amour, one of the greatest of western writers.
Also, Norfh to Alaska and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, and Rio Grande, those last two part of the "trinity" by John Ford for cavalry movies in line as favorites.

I like True Grit, but I can't stand Kim Darby.
Lots of good ones, but The Cowboys and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence are my favorites.
I don't have a favorite John Wayne western, but my favorite John Wayne movie is The Hellfighters.
