Of course not. But current law offers little protections for the one who brandishes.Under current law, if you shot and wounded the thugs you would be in less trouble?

If you draw to defend yourself because of fear of your life or major body damage, by law it is brandishing if you don't fire?Of course not. But current law offers little protections for the one who brandishes.
What if I tried to fire but gun malfunctions. If you draw to defend yourself because of fear of your life or major body damage, by law it is brandishing if you don't fire?
After some reflection, I don't think this bill will make much difference.Suppose 2 thugs walk up on me at QT. They look like they have bad intentions to me. One tries to flank me. I draw my pistol and they run off. One of them call in my plate and says I was menacing them with a pistol. Under current law I can be charged with a crime. This bill addresses that.
Who said that?Instead of the bill, we might should look at our instructors a little closer. If we have instructors telling students that a shot must be fired if you draw your weapon to prevent brandishing charges, maybe we should take away intructors license.
Not my instructor.Who said that?
Who said that?
I'm guessing nobody, since he can't produce anyone.I'm guessing a complete moron.
