Never tried that. Just washed off real good with as hot of water as I could stand and took a good alergy pill.

Of course I only recently became slightly alergic to it. Before I could wrap myself in it and be fine.

Unfortunately I was in an airport this morning and didn't have carb cleaner or bleach available... Banana peel really helped... I'm pretty allergic and the blisters have already gone down a little

The oil from the leaf is what is the irritant, I really do scrub the area down with an alcohol soaked rag until all of the blisters pop and the oil is washed off.

Make sure to swipe and remove with the rag instead of just smearing it around or it wont work.

Any ex military that were taught how to decontaminate themselves with a decon kit knows what I am talking about.

I am highly allergic to poison ivy, but I do the above and it scabs up and is gone quickly with no meds taken.

Just make sure you don't use the bathroom while you have oil on your hands...

I did once and learned a very valuable lesson.

Although it did swell up to be the size I always dreamed up...
