It doesn't matter where in the country you are, elitist shotgunners can be a pox on the general shooting community. I'm not saying all of them who shoot a Krieghoff or Perazzi are pretentious asses, but the odds spike significantly.

Are you cross-training? I know straight out of Basic I didn't have time for shooting at Keesler. But then that was 30 years ago.

When I was new to skeet, I happened to be in Dallas when the Dallas Gun Club was holding a small shoot. I won class C in the 12 with an old Mossberg pump. You would have thought I introduced a social disease . . . great fun.
Having said that, I have refereed at the NSSA World Shoot several times, and nearly all the shooters were very nice folks. I do recall a few jerks, but the vast majority were fine.

$10,000 is the starter model on a Kreighoff shotgun. It's kinda like owning a porsche boxster or a Mercedes SLK and bragging about it. Not much to brag about.
