I am not obligated by that law to lower my flag for anyone.. You've just demonstrated you've never read it . I do love the mental gymnastics you go through though when you incorrectly think you're right.

Go read the US Flag Code and while you're at it

Proclamation 3044 Section 5 states, "The heads of the several departments and agencies of the [federal] Government may direct that the flag of the United States be flown at half-staff on buildings, grounds, or naval vessels under their jurisdiction on occasions other than those specified herein which they consider proper, and that suitable military honors be rendered as appropriate."

Upon the death of a sitting or former President how long does the flag fly at half-mast? For a Vice-President? Others?

  • 30 days from the death of the President or a former President
  • 10 days from the day of death for: Vice President; Chief Justice of the US or a retired Chief Justice of the US; Speaker of the House of Representatives
  • Day of death until interment for: Associate Justice of the Supreme Court; Secretary of an executive or military department; Former Vice President; Governor of a State, territory, or possession
  • Day of death and the following day for: Member of Congress

I don't know why I even bother when you're wrong way more frequently than you're right
Oh puddin, you missed the point going with your black and white argumentation again.

Dude you're really not very good at this are you ? You constantly take a position which you can't support and then double down on being wrong. Progressives always end up relying on appeal to emotion and more equivalence because they can't provide any evidence to support their arguments. You seem to do the same a lot.

Just because you don't get the points made against you doesn't mean that the person making them is wrong. You can try your hardest to virtue signal too but that doesn't mean it'll help you in the long run.

Most of you who are so negative of Carter probably were either not alive or too young to have any memory of the conditions that existed during the Carter years. Carter was an outsider in the world of national politics. He had very few supporters in Congress, so he wasn’t able to do much nor was he much aware of international situations. Much the same situation Trump is walking into. The passing of time will reveal if Trump was actually able to accomplish what we voted for, or will comments 20 years from now be similar to what is being made now about Carter.
He did a lot harm to the US economy during his four years and arguably did more damage on the foreign policy front than any president up until Biden was elected and I would argue he destabilized the middle east in ways we are still dealing with.

I will be fair and say he didn't create the energy crisis of the 1970's but he made it worse ,a lot worse than it had to be . His legacy is also still being felt today with the Department of Education with every graduating class of students since his administration being dumber than the previous ones.

The is a reason Regan tried to kill the Department of Ed (Carter) and EPA (Nixon) .

"At least I am not as dumb as the kids graduating now. "

This is kinda how Jimmy Carter probably felt about being president.

Carrying things to a logical conclusion isn't tolerated on OSA.
Alcohol/marijuana/guns
"don't tread on me"/"support the men in blue"

It's like a bunch of geriatric schizophrenics.
