Can't find the info and have heard varying opinions. If one buys a lifetime hunting/fishing license are there any other costs to hunt or fish each year as far as tags or otherwise? How does this work? Thanks
Just for bear tags and federal waterfowl stamp. HIP is free as usual but must be renewed each year. It's great not having to consider tags and licenses.
That above plus a Sand Hill Crane permit if you hunt them. Still have to pay the use fee if you draw at MCAAP and Wichita Mtns. Still have to get the Texoma permit to fish I believe?? Someone else will have to confirm that one.

Texoma license is only for fishing across the state line on the lake.
Sandhill crane and paddlefish permits are required as well as HIP permits for migratory birds. All are free.

Its a great item to have. If you hunt and or fish alot, the lifetime will pay for itself in no time.

Veterans can get no cost combination hunt/fish licenses through the Stars & Stripes program offered by ODWC; Stars and Stripes Project | Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation
Just purchased one this week for my kid’s 18th birthday. Prices have gone up again (I think). Pretty sure the combo was $725 last time I looked. Now $775. Still worth it in my opinion.
