Betty Crocker taught me to cook when I was a child. I use to pour over the pictures in that book.

I regret not keeping my Mom's hand written receipes. She had one for a unusual texture and taste pound cake that I cannot duplicate anywhere.
I'll sort through them and see what different ones are there. Some of them are pretty worn.
