Those are cool, how much?I made precision spinning tops. Some have spun over 30 minutes using just a finger snap. Sold them all over the world too but very few in Oklahoma. Tungsten over magnesium. That’s an industrial ruby as the bearing.

So the stepper motors were directly connected to the rods instead of belts and wheels which can slip?Design mainly. New one runs on rods instead of wheels on an extrusion. The bearings are Japanese instead of Chinese and it has more integrated sensors (like filament run out) that will save you from running out of filament. It's just overall a better designed and put together machine, it's made in the Czech Republic. What the old one was doing is having a layer shift, so things didn't look quite right after printing. The level of detail I can get on my new Prusa never ceases to amaze me.
It still uses belts, but instead of wheels rolling on extrusion, it uses linear rods with bearings. Some Japanese bearing which I didn't recognize, but it supposed to be the cats meow. This is the link to the printer if you are interested in the nuts and bolts.
