So a conversation with an old friend made me wonder if I could forge a Viking Seax out of an old file? It’s close, but not bad for a first try. It’s very common man. Very utility. Something a workman or a craftsman would have carried. Kinda like me….. 😢😂 I had to fiddle with it for over a month to get it where I liked it. The balance is a little off. It’s kinda tang heavy. But all in all, it’s a good useable knife.

Design mainly. New one runs on rods instead of wheels on an extrusion. The bearings are Japanese instead of Chinese and it has more integrated sensors (like filament run out) that will save you from running out of filament. It's just overall a better designed and put together machine, it's made in the Czech Republic. What the old one was doing is having a layer shift, so things didn't look quite right after printing. The level of detail I can get on my new Prusa never ceases to amaze me.
So the stepper motors were directly connected to the rods instead of belts and wheels which can slip?

My daughter and her family has two German Shepherd house dogs. They are taking a trip to Disney and Universal studios over Christmas and New Years but they did not have a dog house. Rather than having to board the dogs, I built them a dog house that will keep their wussie house dogs warm.

The dog house is double walled and insulated; floor, walls, roof and all. I wired it for electricity so they have a heat lamp inside with a thermostat plug that will come on at 40 and shut off at 50. I also used some heat tape to make them a water bowl that will not freeze.
