Lol. They haven't had anything get in their stationary coop/building yet but the largest gap anywhere in it is 1/2". The expanded metal on this one is 3/4" and ofcourse it has no bottom.Dont forget you need a place for the rat snake to hide. So he can scare the !:#$& out of someone while colleting eggs.

The hut/box part is gonna be 3/16" plastic sheeting stuff. A buddy of mine bought several pallets of it a couple years ago in a surplus deal. I'll put some ventilation in it. I agree with ya. I got the visual of the girls opening the door to fried chicken!I dunno about makin the thing outta all metal. Might have roasted chicken durin the hotter weather.
That's why they have flat, satin, and then various degrees of glossiness...Not real happy that it turned out so glossy. When the can says low gloss, well I guess it's subjective. LOL. The lines you see in the pic are reflections. Grrr....
Childrens toy box/bench.
I didn't make it. My dad made it for my daughter when she was about 3 or so. Ready for another! After the wrath of one 3 year I refinished it for my grandaughter who just turned 3.
