So the little guy has stated doing some SASS cowboy action shooting. To do it you gotta haul all your stuff around in a cart. They have been nice enough to loan us a cart each time but there is some big old heavy wooden jobs that aint cutting it. All the folks that seem to be serious have a either a high dollar 3 wheel cart or have made one from a jogging stroller. I have been on the hunt for a stroller for a month or so and finally found one. Here is the $20 doaner from craigslist for this project.

I put the boy to work and we stripped it down the other night. Today I started a little building. The goal is to still be able to collapse it fully so it can fit in the wife's car trunk.

The top of the gun rack is mounted in between the push handles and the bottom box is removable so it still closes up.

I am still kicking around what I am going to do next. My wife and son don't realize this stuff has to percolate in the brain for a little while. I left the front seat bottom and braces intact. I may build a little chest to fit there. I am also thinking about some saddle bags for him to keep stuff in. One thing I did like was a cart had some old holsters mounted on the back to carry your pistols in when you weren't shooting. Anyway lots of stuff kicking around in the noggin at the moment.

That's awesome @blake711 ! My wife has a really fancy jogging stroller. We don't have little kids anymore. She said we aren't having anymore kids. Stroller is folded up in my reloading room. She refuses to get rid of it. Now I know what I can do with it and I can blame you for what I've done! Thanks buddy!

@Cowcatcher glad I could help. I will count on if I ever order anything from your misses it will cost me 2 to 3 times what a normal person would pay. I really wanted one with the wire spoke wheels but couldn't find a deal on one. So this will suffice for the time being.

LOL, typically I don't like blame, but in this case I found it funny and fully understandable..

Oh you gotta build one now @Cowcatcher that is supposed to be the brand to find according to the guys I talked to. Spoke wheels with replaceable bearings. The SASS guys have some pretty sweet rigs I have seen. Also in searching for ideas I saw some of the 3 gun guys make carts also that are pretty cool just for hauling stuff around. The rules for SASS is guns must always be carried and transported barrel up. So that is why it has to be made the way I did my sons. The 3 gun guys all have their barrels pointing towards the ground at a 45ish degree angle.

I have something similar to carry around my range back and such, it's a stroller where the top part is setup for a car seat to click in. It's basically just a shelf cut and attached with a hinge on the top to set stuff down but I can fold it up when I need to reach into the bottom. Used it a few times at the OKCGC during matches. Haven't been to one in a while so it just sits in the corner with some stuff on it.

pulled from the ground last year.. If it's not the heat that slows me down it's the dang rain, just not into welding in the rain.. I did get another gate built this morning..
