Built me a bigger badder set of felling dogs/bumper spikes/whatever you wanna call em this evening. The lil single stock dog wasn’t much. I picked up a bigger set from Stihl dealer but they were incorrect. Only took about an hour to whip these out. I enjoy makin stuff anyhow and needed something to do besides keep up with this election.

Finished the log loading arch and mounts I fabbed and installed on my trailer. Pics of the pivot plates and the arch itself, and the winch mounting plate and fairlead mount. Once I deal with a fuel injector issue in my truck, I’ll be ready to go haul logs!

Thanks, but I can’t claim any credit. Log arches have been around a while, and there are plenty of YouTube videos featuring them. One guy named Matt Cremona started with a clapped-out pickup truck, a rusty trailer, and a rickety log arch. He must make good money, because he now drives a new duallie, has a custom-built trailer, and he installed a beefy log arch on the trailer. Here’s a video of him loading a 7700 lb log onto the trailer (action starts at about 14:34):
