Bunch of *******. I've never been afraid to shop at the Admiral Walmart, and with so many non-paying customers the checkout lanes are always open. The real ***** is waiting to buy ammo and having to listen to the clerk try and explain why they can't sell just 13 rounds of fotay.

It's clear from some of the responses that most people here have never stepped foot in the Admiral Walmart. I shopped in that Walmart for years when I lived in the area. I can tell you this, I have had better service and faster check out service from this Walmart than any other. They may have an internal theft problem, but I can guarantee you, the loss prevention stopped and detained shoplifters at this location. I'm quite sure the people I have seen being escorted out in cuffs didn't turn themselves in voluntarily.

It's funny how some people are scared of the lower class. It would probably be shocking to know that middle and upper class areas have the same problems.
I disagree. I averaged one trip a month, and always carried a gun and OC. It was full of low class trash, and so-so service. The cashiers in the front were usually nice, but the floor people and managers were terrible. There was always a long filthy line, full of Obama Mommas, tweakers, and a few decent people. I averaged about a fifteen minute wait. Every other Walmart I have been to is nicer, cleaner, and faster. I know that people were getting arrested, but most got away with it. My girlfriend went there more often than I did, and says that EVERY time she was there she would see people sticking stuff in their pants, bras, etc... If the upper class has the same problems, their store would be closed.

I believe people can agree to disagree, but some of the things you listed are far fetched. My wife stands about 5ft4 and one of the most timid women I know and she never had a problem going to that store. I am not saying everything you said was fabricated, but overstated. Then again, I don't walk around Walmart looking at people's tits and crotch, so I'm not sure who was stuffing things down their pants and bras. LOL

I will tell you this, I started going to the new Catoosa Walmart when it opened and I have been met with more beggars and other homeless people in the parking lot than at any other Walmart stores. I was at the McDonalds across the street from this store today and some woman came right up to my drivers side window while I was ordering food begging for money. She damn near got a .45 in her face.

Overstated? TPD would disagree and yes, I have been there a few times and it was a nasty dangerous place to shop.
"Rohloff said the “David Squad,” which is comprised of nine officers, only three or four of whom are on duty at any given time, responds to nearly 100 calls per month at that store.

“That, in and of itself, is as much as some squads in the whole city do, and we’re just talking about one address,” Rohloff said.

Tulsa World crime statistics show more than 1,500 larcenies occurred in the 200 block of South Memorial Drive between 2012 and 2014. That’s nearly 500 more than occurred in the same time frame at the 66th Street and South Memorial Drive Wal-Mart and nearly 400 more than occurred at the 81st Street and South Lewis Avenue Wal-Mart.

“It’s got a bit of a reputation,” Tulsa police Retail Crimes Sgt. Ron Kawano said of the area surrounding the 207 S. Memorial Drive store. “It’s very busy. They make a ton of apprehensions out of that store.”

Larceny isn't a crime that directly endangers other shoppers. My God I've never seen so many people so scared of a walmart in my life. And the mcdonalds? Seriously people mcdonalds and walmart?

It's what happens when you hire part timers, young/old people, to run a Jillian dollar business. You get what you pay for.

Plus the too numerous to list ignoramus policies. Walmarts closing is good for America.

What exactly were you trying to prove? I already said they had a theft problem. I do believe I even went so far as to say I have seen police taking people out in cuffs often. Put a store in a low income area and you have a high theft rate. Sure this isn't a surprise to Walmart.

My comments were that the store wasn't a cesspool of humans like some on this forum and other news sites have eluded to. Some of you act like you can't walk to the door without fear of being carjacked or robbed.

Lurker - its all risk management. A not very likely occurrence with a potentially catastrophic result probably still demands mitigating efforts. I agree that some people may subjectively feel an objectively unwarranted fear but I also think your comments are undeservedly harsh and exaggerated -- everyone picks his own place to go overboard.
